Role Overview
We have a brilliant new opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join us, working at one of our Sheffield sites. This is a great time to join Wincanton as the business grows and develops.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting monthly management accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production of weekly accounts
- Ensure accruals and prepayments are accurate
- Balance ledgers each week and ensure all risks and opportunities are flagged to Finance Manager
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Reconcile Wincanton assets (eg fuel, payroll etc)
- Support Operators with their understanding of the operation cost drivers.
- Report and monitor key performance indicators.
- Work with Credit control to ensure invoicing is accurate and timely
- Drive accurate and timely dataflow from the Outbases
- Raise sales invoice to the customer in a timely fashion
- Resolve & reduce Purchase Order queries
- Create new Supplier & Customer accounts
- Ordering & booking hotels & cars
- Support administration payroll System
- Ensure effective communication throughout the operation.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in the above duties
- Customer focused with drive to achieve.
- Ability to build relationships with other departments
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Possessing good spreadsheets skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
