Scheduler / Co-ordinator - Technical Engineering
Alecto recruitment are currently representing an industry leading Telematics company based in Swindon, now looking to recruit an office based Scheduler / Coordinator to assist their engineering division.
The Role:
As a Scheduler/Coordinator you will have direct responsibility for the tasking of six employed installers, along with arranging appointments with third party engineering companies as required. The role requires a good geographical knowledge of the UK as you will be organising field staff routes and schedules efficiently and productively.
You will build strong working relationships with the field engineers and will support them on a day to day basis. This will include managing their diaries, equipment requirements, stock levels, vehicle maintenance, holidays, PPE/uniforms and any other ad hoc requirements, such as vehicle hire and site compliance issues.
As well as management of the engineers, the successful candidate will work closely with the operational team to ensure that all parties involved in trials, new orders and chargeable engineering visits receive clear and accurate communications in a timely manner. You will also manage all customer engagement through the internal helpdesk and Deployment system tools.
Strong customer focus, customer service and teamwork skills are all key to succeed in this role.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, it is essential you have a strong and proven background in Scheduling or Coordinating within a busy office environment - experience within a technical engineering or help desk background desirable.
Awareness of UK and European geography will be required in order you can realistically plan and manage engineer schedules. It is equally important that you are experienced in dealing with in coming calls and dealing with clients and internal staff across all levels.
Key skills required: include:
- Ability to listen and comprehend customer enquiries and take appropriate action as required.
- Identifies opportunities to develop new offerings to clients that will create new revenue streams for the company
- Aware of business priorities and able to plan own time in order to fulfil the needs of these
- Able to demonstrate sound commercial awareness in all aspects of the role, including awareness of the implications their role has on the wider business.
- Ability to plan engineer resource efficiently and cost effectively along with solid geographical knowledge.
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office to Include Word, Excel and Specific computer packages
- Excellent Customer service skills across all communication channels.
The Package:
- Salary: GBP23,000 - GBP26,000 per annum
- Work status: Full Time - Permanent
- Hours of work: 09:00hrs - 18:00hrs
- Reporting to : Projects & Engineering Director
