About The Role

An EL/PL Litigation Executive is required to join a market leading insurer and legal services provider DAS in Bristol

As the EL/PL Litigation Executive you will:

• Be responsible for prospects assessing and handling a caseload of Claimant EL / PL fast-track personal injury claims, with minimal supervision from inception taking all necessary steps to bring claims to a successful conclusion as swiftly as possible

• Review cases upon initial receipt and assess the prospects of the claim succeeding. You will be responsible for then submitting the claim via the EL/PL claims portal or draft the letter of claim and conduct a re-assessment of the case prospects on receipt of the liability decision

• Be responsible for Quantum Assessing and handling a caseload of Claimant EL / PL personal injury claims. The caseload will consist of predominantly liability admitted cases, but, will include liability denied cases where prospects have been deemed as being reasonable and medical evidence is being collated prior to the case being litigated

About You

As an experienced EL/PL you will have:

• Experience of handling your own case load of Claimant personal injury cases in a team environment.

• Experience in quantifying general and special damages

• Knowledge of the online claims portal will be advantageous. The candidate will need to adhere to the SRA Handbook

• The candidate will be expected to gain excellent working knowledge of the legal principles that are applicable to non-motor related accidents. Some working knowledge of the following is preferred - employment regulations; Highways Act; Occupiers Liability act and Animals Act.
