The role

The development team is 3 strong; with plans to grow further moving forward and you'll be the lynchpin of that expansion. As well as being responsible for all aspects of the development life cycle, driving improvement in quality code, they also want you to help take responsibility for the development of some of their valued employees. You will be their agency tech and development lead, working closely with their developers to deliver amazing digital solutions for clients.

Your typical daily duties would include -

- Working closely with the studio and development teams on a variety of digital projects including responsive website builds, mobile builds and campaign sites
- Building and/or integrating APIs
- Working in WordPress and similar PHP based CMS platforms
- Scoping project requirements and supporting the New Business Development team with new business pitches
- Take ownership of projects and code quality while delivering to agreed deadlines
- Inspiring more Junior Developers through leading by example from a technical, delivery and values perspective

Essential skills

The agency attitude is a positive, can-do one, coupled with a hunger to succeed. As a Senior Web Developer your skills and abilities should fit the following criteria:

- Advanced HTML5 and CSS3 skills
- Advanced PHP experience
- Working knowledge of git version control
- Strong JavaScript skills
- Solid command of cross-browser compatibly and responsive solutions
- Strong ability with Wordpress and other CMS (Drupal would be a bonus)
- Experience working with Restful APIs
- Ability to build from a PSD/Sketch file
- LESS or SCSS (SCSS is preferable)
- Leadership experience
- Have a confident and charismatic personality
- Demonstrate excellent organisation skills
- Be able to communicate at a high level, both written and verbal

Desirable skills

- Experience with agile software development approaches
- Unit Testing / TTD
- Continuous development/deployment techniques
