Our client is looking for an energetic, inspiring and dedicated individual to become the driving force for their community fundraising in either Northwest England or Scotland.
Community Fundraising Manager
Location: Home-based, in either the North West of England or Scotland, with occasional duties to be undertaken at the Milton Keynes Head Office.
Salary: £27,500
Hours of work: Full time
Our client is one of the fastest growing national charities in the UK. They are passionate about finding a cure for brain tumours through the establishment of dedicated brain tumour research Centres of Excellence around the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Community Fundraising (North), you will be responsible for:
- Devising an annual operating plan detailing how financial and other targets will be met
- Recruiting, managing and developing fundraising volunteers and providing appropriate support to their fundraising activities
- Responding to requests for “in aid of” materials arising from local marketing initiatives
- Working with the PR team to ensure appropriate media coverage for fundraising activities being undertaken by the organisation's volunteer network
- Managing existing relationships with corporate organisations across the area
The type of person they are looking for:
- Be a confident self-starter with experience in fundraising, managing fundraising events and connecting with people;
- Be flexible in your approach to work, embrace change and development and able to work evenings and weekends when necessary;
- Have experience of networking, building relationships and spotting opportunities for partnerships, including local corporate partnerships;
- Have direct experience of raising funds and meeting financial targets;
Proficiency in MS Office is essential.
