This role is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company who publish to a global audience. This is a new role and represents a chance for a mid-level content marketing professional to join a company at a time that you can really take a step up in your career as they grow.
This role is not just about creating written content (both copywriting or commissioning others to produce it) but requires someone who can think strategically and plan for the year ahead using content from events to produce anything from videos to podcasts in order to really engage with their audience.
You will join a small commercial team and you'll be at the heart of their marketing activities in support of premium B2B subscription information services and a thriving global events programme.
Key responsibilities:
1) Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will work with internal stakeholders (including editorial and events departments) and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent supply of high quality content; articles, webinars, reports, videos, presentations, interviews, Q&As, infographics, and more.
This content will form an integral part of their value-driven marketing communications, spanning multiple channels including web, email, social, print, conferences and external partnerships - generating new leads and driving deeper engagement with their community.
2) The successful candidate will also be required to manage a number of cross-channel marketing campaigns. You will work closely
with a small team; a full-time marketing assistant, graphic designer, data specialist and freelance copywriter, in successfully delivering these campaigns.
3) You will also take responsibility for a number of discrete projects emerging from their annual marketing and product-team plans, helping the business to meet its strategic objectives.
While working as part of a small team, you will possess a practical, hands-on understanding of digital marketing and associated systems/processes, including email marketing systems (EMS), content management systems (CMS) and search engine optimisation/marketing (SEO/SEM).
The successful applicant will have a creative flair, a good eye for detail, and excellent copy-writing skills. You will feel perfectly at home communicating with an expert, professional community, and also forging external partnerships.
You will also be a strong team player, self-motivated, flexible and happy to embrace change within a developing online business. A strong work ethic is a 'must'.
This position represents an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding and broaden your experience of both content marketing and campaign management.
You will have a minimum of three years' experience working in a similar content marketing focused role, preferably supported by a marketing degree or diploma.
Please note: They are NOT looking for a marketing generalist for this role - it's essential that you have top-notch content marketing experience to be considered. Great company, great role - salary GBP25-27k to start - if you are looking for a bit more then do apply as it's important they find the right person and if you've got everything they're looking for (and more) then they may revisit the budget for this new role.
