IT Engineer

IT VMWare Engineer Permanent Darlington GBP25000 per annum Your new company Growing engineering consultancy company is looking for IT VMWare Engineer, who will join their onsite support team in the office in Darlington. Your new role You must have VMWAre experience.Based in the office in Darlington you will be supporting company staff of engineers and not only providing onsite support. You will provide support in with installation of hardware, new systems and software packages, maintenance, support and development of new and existing IT systems and implementing VMWare solutions. You will ensure that all requests for assistance (for both hardware and software problems) are dealt with promptly, relevant IT standards are applied and necessary documentation is produced and maintained for all systems. You will also provide training for staff and liase with departments operating IT systems. What you'll need to succeed Essential skills for the IT Support Officer role: Qualifications & Knowledge Recognised educational or vocational ICT qualification 5 GCSEs (A-C grade) including Maths and English Experience VMWare experience essential Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 R2 knowledge (AD / DNS / DHCP) Suitable knowledge and experience in the implementation, development and support of ICT systems Experience of administering and supporting Server 2008 R2 / 2012 and MS Exchange 2010 Experience of Microsoft Windows 7 & Office 2010 / 2103 environments Basic network capabilities and troubleshooting skills (VLAN's etc) Good understanding of the future direction of IT Skills & Aptitudes Enthusiasm to learn new systems and new products used within the business General interest in IT Preferable skills: Microsoft SCCM / scripting knowledge Netbackup Enterprise Vault Citrix XenDeskop / XenMobile / Netscaler knowledge Sharepoint / SQL experience advantageous What you'll get in return You will get competitive salary and experience in providing IT support working with growing and successful UK's engineering consultancy company, flexible start and finish times, payable overtime, 33 days holiday per annum (including Bank Holidays) plus the option to buy up to an additional 5 days, Company pension scheme.
