Job Description Technical Administrator
Reports to Compliance Manager
Purpose of Job
• To deliver the site quality system improvement plan, ensuring that it matches the requirements and delivers the strategic business goals.
• To assist in driving the adherence to the quality, food safety & Legal systems on site.
• To assist in driving quality, food safety and legal management of the site, ensuring compliance and 100% adherence to statutory and mandatory requirements.
• To develop a robust SOP system and ensure all SOPs are the latest format and updated as and when required by site.
• To maintain the site Training Matrix and ensure all managers are given direction to what and when training is needed on site.
• Deliver a certain amount of basic training courses as and when required.
• Develop action plans and trackers designed to deliver continuous improvement in quality, food safety and legality.
• Ensure that the site delivers against the Technical Training budget.
• Cover for the Compliance Manager as required.
Nature & Scope of the Job
• BRC Compliance - Ensure site adheres to BRC std requirements / carryout relevant actions where possible to ensure compliance.
• Compliance to Retail COP ensuring full gap analysis exercises drive compliance to all stds.
• Assist in delivery (on time) of all site routine reports (including QQMR, TLT, Weekly & Monthly Retailer & Quality logs, CPM tracker).
• Meeting and minute deputy for all Technical meetings (eg HACCP, IMR, QQMR).
• Traceability assistance to Quality Manager as & when required.
• Owner of site SOP system including writing, updating and training where possible.
Knowledge & Experience Required
• Experience in food sector or equivalent. At least 12 months+ experience within Technical Administration in the food sector.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene & HACCP.
• Trainer the Trainer Qualification
• Accredited Internal Audit Qualification.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Previous experience in utilizing low level Continuous Improvement Techniques (RCA), 5S for example.
• Able to work in a controlled manner under pressure.
• IT Literate to a high standard..
• Strong Team Player. Resilient and persistent.
• Demonstrates a high level of motivation
