We are currently recruiting for Support Workers (ranging from those who are new to the care sector to those who are experience) who will be expected to participate as a member of the team to plan, lead, monitor and deliver high quality care to residents in line with their individual care plans, under the supervision and guidance of the team leaders and home managers.

You will be expected to provide holistic care for our residents, assisting them with their daily activities and identifying and assisting them with their individual needs and preferences. You will be expected to communicate effectively, promote privacy, dignity, choice, independence and individual rights and also participate in protecting our vulnerable residents from any harm or abuse.

The post holder will have a key role in maintaining the quality of care delivery and in enabling service users to live fulfilling lives, partaking in their favourite activities and socialising with friends, family and the local community.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO):

Work within a team in a home supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Support residents with all daily activities in accordance with their individual care plans.

Promote resident independence and respect their dignity and choices at all times.

Work on a flexible, rotational basis according to the rota set by the Home Manager and the needs of the home which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round.

Receive and take part in regular supervision and training to develop own skills.

Maintain accurate care records that reflect current needs and preferences for each resident.

Work in line with Company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Right to live and work in the UK

Previous experience in the care sector or in working with adults with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential

Relevant qualifications such as NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care are desirable but not essential.

Good communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team

Applicants must have a desire to care for others and be compassionate and flexible
