A Supply Chain Project Manager is required to join one of Kents foremost employers on a fixed term contract for six months. The firm are global manufacturer with their UK Headquarters based in MidKent.

Working amidst a large supply chain, the incoming candidate will be tasked to review the performance of the supply chain and suggest improvements to better its performance; subsequently leading the projects to implement process improvements.

Reporting into the Supply Chain Director, the candidate will lead the resolution of supply chain constraints where they exist; drive improvements identified by the supply chain strategy, S&OP process; drive the application of process thinking/continuous improvement; and development of relationships within the logistics supply base.

Working knowledge of value stream mapping will be required in order to aid process improvements, and tangible Project Management skills will be needed (a qualification to support would be advantageous e.g. APM).

In order to be successful in an application, candidates will need to possess broad ranging supply chain skills within a manufacturer of goods or products rather than service.

The ideal application will be Degree educated and hold at least a Six Sigma Green Belt (or have a qualification in Continuous Improvement). An ALevel in Maths or Statistics will be needed (or at least working evidence of a high level of statistical manipulation will be needed). A working exposure to SAP would be advantageous, but not essential.
Candidates will need to be able to start a new role with immediate effect and commit to a six month contract.
