My client is currently looking for a Shift Manager. This role is key to ensuring the success of the operation achieving and exceeding its KPIs . Reporting directly to the Operations Support Manager, with direct responsibility for the Warehouse and Transport Operation.
Direct Reports:
- Transport Operational Team, Drivers and Warehouse Operatives.
Key duties and accountabilities:
Includes but not Limited to;
- Responsible for proactively managing the shift to action the daily operational plan and meet targets within Budgetary constraints
- Apply a consistent approach to people management
- Ensure company policies and procedures are applied consistently
- Manage change as and when the business requires
- Ensure the site meets legal compliance at all times
- Ensure that employees are managed in a consistent way in line with current processes to help achieve business and personal growth
- Encourage continuous improvement to become part of operational daily activity
- Achieve customer KPIs in line with the business goals
- Promote a culture where Health and Safety is part of our daily activities
- Ensure company policies and government legislation are adhered to
- Ensure all Health and Safety incidents/ accidents are investigated, recorded and appropriate action is taken.
- Communicate effectively to internal and external customers
- Supply accurate information on operational status as and when required including shift handover
Qualifications, Key Skills and Experience Required;
- Ability to influence at all levels
- Effectively communicate at all levels in a variety of formats
- IOSH
- Previous experience of working in a transport/ warehouse environment
- Previous working knowledge of Warehouse management systems
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
Location: Daventry, Northants.
Shifts: Rotating days and nights. 4 on 4 off. 6am - 6pm/6pm-6am.
Salary: GBP36,000 pa.
