My client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to support the day to day running of their busy hotel, on a maternity leave 'fixed term' contract.  Ideally looking at 12 months cover from November 2017.

The hotel is in one of the most central locations in the country which makes it popular with leisure and business guests. The four-star property has 119 guest rooms, 22 meeting rooms, restaurant, bar and spa, so it's a busy place to work but also very rewarding. 

The Operations Manager role is a varied role, as you will get involved with all aspects of the business, so you'll need to be up for the challenge, ready to trouble shoot and lead our team of managers to ensure our guests have a fantastic stay.

Your main responsibilities as Operations Manager will include:

  • Managing staff in the hotel to ensure the smooth day to day operations
  • Ensuring the hotel is maintained and any issues are dealt with effectively
  • Developing and implementing a marketing plan to help increase sales
  • Controlling and monitoring revenue and ensuring targets are met

If you have strong leadership skills, are a great communicator and are 'solutions' driven, then this could be the role for you. Previous experience of this or a similar role is essential.

This role is a fixed term position covering up to 12 months maternity leave. Hours of work are a minimum of 45 hours each week, which will include late nights and weekends.
