Job Title: Product Support Engineer
Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 dependant on experience
Our client is the next-generation multiplexing technology for complex vehicles, marine and industrial equipment.
The company’s product line is comprised of intuitive user interfaces, power distribution modules, machine interface modules, sensors and software. These components electronically connect engines, generators, lighting, HVAC, audio/video and other equipment. The result is a seamless monitoring and control solution with dramatically increased system functionality.
Job Role
The position available is to support our client’s worldwide dealer network with technical support, training and product documentation. Dealers will often need specific technical help on installation and design and the person in the role needs to be able to help on a technical level as well as offer great communication skills to ensure the network have all the technical information they need, both online via Wiki and off line via the telephone and email. Their products are constantly being updated and improved and their customers look to our client to deliver innovation on an on-going basis. There will also be some national and International travel as part of the role.
Role’s responsibilities:
• Providing technical support to our client’s dealers, by email and phone • Creating and updating product and software manuals • Maintaining a technical wiki with up to date information • Carrying out training sessions with dealers, both locally and abroadThe Candidate
Education and Qualifications:
Good university degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent. The ideal candidate would also have at least 2 years’ experience in a relevant business environment with a desire to expand their responsibilities and career. They also need to show they are thorough in their approach to projects.
Essential skills and experience:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • A strong technical knowledge base, including electrical and electronic systems. • A methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solving • A flair for organisation.Desirable skills and experience:
