Principal Software Tester

My client, one of the world's leading providers of data and technology to their market audience are looking for a Principal Software Tester. The Principal Software Tester is responsible for coordinating the testing of software projects and providing initiative and innovation to improve and define the processes and technologies used within the department and wider company. They will provide insight and guidance on technologies and tools the business could utilize in order to have state of the art systems and procedures. They are also responsible for participating in setting departmental principles and vision, and for ensuring the associated deliverables.

Skills;

  • Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development and testing
  • Full software development life cycle experience
  • Good understanding of the technologies and IT practices available to the Company and those being developed in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industries.
  • To work in collaboration with key stakeholders, to proactively seek opportunities to improve the range, structure and efficiency of the organisation's products, services, architecture and reporting these recommendations to the Testing Management Team
  • To provide strategic advice to the testing management team which underpins and influences the ongoing maintenance and evolution of the companies departmental processes
  • To present a range of innovative testing solutions and options which are commercially and financially viable that support/guides business development of how to fulfil contracts using a combination of the existing product range, enhancements to existing products and additional products
