Multiskilled Engineer - Double Days
Our chosen business partner is one of the leading printing businesses in the UK. They have recently had a massive investment and are looking at recruiting heavily within there engineering team. They employ around 300 personnel on site and run a 24/6 production operation.
Key Responsibilities;
Carrying out reactive maintenance in a time critical environment.
Carrying out, planning and recording preventative maintenance activities and solutions.
"Right First Time" engineering standards.
Engaging in and development of Continuous Improvement System.
Maintaining 5s and other prevailing Lean Methodologies.
The best possible technical support is afforded to the business.
Ensure personal engagement in "Learning & Development" specifically on new or unfamiliar processes, technologies and equipment.
Working as part of an engineering/manufacturing team.
Effective communication across departments and shift patterns.
Contributing to cost effective technical solutions.
Key Requirements;
Apprentice trained to ONC/HNC level or equivalent preferably in electrical/electronic engineering or mechanical engineering.
Strong CMMS skills.
Strong Continuous Improvement Experience.
Strong electrical fault finding skill in particular on PLC's, drives and inventors.
Strong mechanical skills to repair machinery to keep downtime to a minimum.
Print background preferred, but not essential.
Ability to organise and schedule own time, and stay on top of own workload.
Ability to work under pressure.
Engineering Standards of Excellence.
Excellent communication skills.
Right first time attitude.
Key Metrics;
Increased machine efficiencies re: OEE.
Unplanned Downtime Reduction.
Route Cause Analysis.
CMMS Data Analysis.
Component Failure Analysis and MTBF used for predictive and preventative planning.
