Ecolab have an opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join the team in Baglan, South Wales.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical resources responsible for delivery of reliable and safe operations, capital projects, Innovation, Infrastructure and Services to the site. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Implementing company SHE standards on site.
  • Developing, deploying and implementing plans to ensure optimum performance of existing and new assets on the site.
  • Supporting implementation of TPM Programme.
  • Effectively managing capital projects using agreed engineering standards and processes.
  • Creating appropriate engineering organisation including succession planning, to ensure high level of engagement.
  • Effectively managing site engineering contractors.
  • Ensuring design and assessment of new equipment and existing equipment to meet appropriate SHE standards
  • Developing and managing site maintenance strategy to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
  • Using 'design for manufacture' concepts when selecting equipment and technology.
  • Creating and implementing plans to monitor and improve site infrastructure.
  • Preparing and effectively managing Site capital and Repairs and Maintenance Budgets.
  • Working with Operations / Production Manager to support implementation of TPM.
  • Identify and deliver improvements to support Site sustainability targets.
  • Leading the technical teams to support delivery of Projects, Maintenance and improvements
  • Monitoring and managing performance of the team including contributing to talent and succession planning.

The ideal Engineering Manager:

  • Degree educated in Engineering or Similar.
  • Previous relevant experience in project management where you have demonstrated the above skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and managing a team
