I am looking for a senior embedded software engineer to join a successful and growing organisation near Canterbury, Kent. If you have experience with embedded firmware and would be comfortable taking a lead on projects, then this role could be for you!

What will you be doing?
The main part of the position will be to develop reliable and competent firmware code for their current and next generation product range. The company update up to 30% of their products year on year, and you will have the opportunity to discuss with senior management about how they continue to develop innovative devices. You will have the ability to take a lead on projects, and be able to take an idea from concept stage through to manufacturing. In addition to this, you will work well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills, being able to liaise confidently with other teams to solve complex design issues.

What skills will you have?

Experience writing embedded firmware (C, Assembler)
Have an appreciation of PC application development utilising Windows O/S for setup and configuration programs for their product range, as well as some test applications.
Experience with either the ARM microcontroller family (M0, M3, M4 and M7) or 8/16 bit PIC controllers.
Experience writing low level driver code utilising some of the following protocols; SPI, I2C, CAN, USART, DMA, DAC, ADC, PVM and GPIO.
Basic understand of digital electronics or can understand and follow a digital circuit diagram.
Experience with ST Microcontrollers, DO178/DO254 quality standards or network applications (Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet) would be highly desirable.
