Picker and Packer

This young, fast growing e-commerce business is looking to bring on a new member of the team to help pick and pack orders and help maintain the efficient running of daily operations. The ideal candidate will be a positive and hard-working individual who is not afraid to muck in to help the team. This role is vital to their business, since the timely and accurate dispatch of orders is an essential part of their operations.

Key responsibilities:

- Picking and packing customer orders with speed and efficiency
- Stocking shelves with products and packing materials
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working area
- Working as part of a team to contribute to the smooth and successful operation of the company

Additional responsibilities as required:

- Processing shipping labels electronically
- Preparing shipping manifest electronically
- Assisting in stock production
- Cleaning and tidying working areas; disposing of rubbish appropriately etc.

Essential skills:

- The ability to work fast and accurately
- The ability to manage time and work to deadlines
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to work neatly and methodically as instructed by your team leader
- Basic IT skills are strongly desirable

About you:

- You are able to work as part of a small team in a fast paced environment
- You are able to adapt to changes in working procedures
- You are reliable and punctual
- You are friendly and polite

Education:

Although there is no level of formal education required, it is important that you have good literacy and numeracy skills. As such a good GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics are strongly desirable.
