Category Manager - Food & Drink

We are looking for a Category Manager to manage spend within theBeer, Wines and Spirits category of products for our retail client.

The team are expanding and the change culture provides an exciting opportunity to develop and expand your Category Buying knowledge within the category of products.

Key Responsibilities

• Using category strategy methodology to leverage and enhance collaboration within the supply base
• Working with the Head of Procurement to identify new products and sources of commercial income.
• Driving and Maintaining cost savings targets, cost negotiations
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Using Supplier Relationship Management to continue to add value post contract negotiation stage

Key Qualifications

• Degree qualification or equivalent
• Procurement experience within Beers, Wines, Spirits or Tobacco
• Proven track record of commercial acumen
• Proven track record of leadership within business
