Residential and Hospitality Services are seeking to appoint a part time Kitchen Porter within its
multi-site, high volume catering operation.

The post is 18 hours per week, term time only. The hours of work are early mornings, evenings
and/or weekends, dependent upon business requirements. The post will operate a five days out of
seven working pattern, in line with terms and conditions.

Main duties will be to provide an efficient, clean and organised wash-up cycle of crockery, cutlery
and other goods in the wash-up areas and to ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy, pots and
pans cleaned, maintained and ready for the Chefs. To undertake any general catering duties and
other related duties and to ensure that all operational service areas are operated in accordance with
departmental service standards. Our aim is to give excellent customer service, and serve quality food
made from ethically and locally sourced produce to all our customers and clients.

Applicants should have a good basic standard of literacy and numeracy and good communication
skills. Previous experience is desirable. A reasonable level of fitness is required as a degree of
physical effort will be a frequent element of the role at periods throughout the day and may involve
a combination of factors including moving furniture and stock, cleaning duties and other heavy
items.
