Proposals Manager

An exciting organisation in the renewable energy technology sector are currently looking for a Proposals Manager who will be responsible for validating and ensuring that a Response to Quotation or Proposal solution is complete, appropriate and results in the best and most accurate proposal possible.

Are you a team player who is commercially focused with an understanding of the risks and impact to a business? As an integral member of the Test and Validation team you will require excellent organisational capabilities to support in the bid process which includes planning, coordinating and managing stakeholders to successfully deliver a bid.

What are my key responsibilities?

* Review invitation to quotes/tenders and specifications to determine customer's requirements and understand the project drivers for all opportunities
* Able to provide engineering solutions to proposals put forward
* Formulating a bid strategy in conjunction with the sales and business development team
* Identify and agree scope/resources/risks/timescales for all deliverables and ensure deliverables are produced in accordance with the pipeline/bid programme through participation in coordination with review meetings
* Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders
* Understand resolve complex risks and issues
* Supporting procurement in establishing reliable and robust frameworks, engineering service contracts and estimating
* Assist in preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid
* Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids
* Ensure the cost estimate is realistic, robust and competitive

What do I need to qualify for this role?

* Preferable but not essential being degree educated, also with or working in obtaining professional accreditation to APMP
* Qualified Engineer
* Extensive Bid writing experience
* Experience of working to tight timescales
* Experience of project timeline and resource planning
* Experience of SHEQ systems, processes and procedures
* Experience of Procurement regulations, frameworks, OJEU and auditing of supply chain services
* Knowledge of the Wind and Marine power services and products
