We are looking for an experienced dynamic Digital Delivery Director to lead one of the most complex patient facing programmes in health and social care.

Ab
out the Digital Delivery Director (Delivery, Director) role:

In your first Digital Delivery Director assignment you will be accountable for leading a transformation change programme to enable the successful delivery of:-
?? NHS.UK digital channel (servicing 50m people per month)
?? Citizen Identity and Personal Health Record
?? Widening digital participation
?? Rollout of Patient Wifi services
?? Health Apps Accreditation and Wearable

This is a leadership role responsible for a multi-disciplinary team (including Clinicians) of approximately 250 people, putting the context in place for delivery of a range of highly ambitious and complex platforms, tools and services.

Drawing on your commercial, strategic supplier and vendor management skills, you will drive the change needed to develop our digital services for patients and enable industry leading innovation and partnerships.

About us:

The Digital Delivery Director (Delivery, Director) role is central to our delivery of the 5 year Personalised Health and Care 2020 strategy in driving greater effectiveness and efficiency in health and care. To be successful in this role you will have the ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to a range of challenges along with experience of delivering change programmes underpinned by technology.

NHS Digital is the data and technology partner of the health and care system. It delivers critical national services; leads major technology enabled adaptive change programmes, and holds health and care data in trust for the nation, enabling world class data science. All to enable safer, better care for patient and citizens.

2017/18 is a transformational year for NHS Digital as we continue the implementation of the National Information Board's vision of personalised health and care services supported by technology, data and information. This vision will be realised through a portfolio of work known as Personalised Health and Care 2020, which encompasses 33 programmes arranged across 10 domains, with a value of GBP4.2bn, in addition to existing systems, services and products. This provides the enabling technology required for delivery of the Five Year Forward View.

Personalised Health and Care 2020 is a fast-paced, evolving context but delivery does not start from a blank sheet of paper. Some of the work involves accelerating or repositioning existing areas of activity as we move from a delivery function to a strategic partner at the heart of the drive to digitise health and care services.

Please note that whilst this post can be carried out from Leeds or London, regular travel between the two will be required as part of the role.
