IEMA ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR / SUSTAINABILITY COORDINATOR

Environmental Coordinator / Sustainability Coordinator (IEMA ideally but must have a relevant degree) needed for an exciting role within a commercial firm for a role in Aberdeen. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced FM professional with energy & environmental management experience looking to make the move across. Or you could be a motivated graduate within an environmental science degree taking that first step within the Environmental Management sector to work on an EMS system and policies within the commercial sector. You will be:

• Developing, co-ordinating and managing an Environmental Management System (EMS) under the direction of the Sustainability Advisor.
• Co-ordinate sustainability initiatives delivering against self funding targets or allocated budget.
• Ensure effective and consistent delivery of all on site sustainability activity including measurement and reporting of data
• Co-ordinate and report on all on site activity including ISO14001
• Ensuring statutory compliance with existing and new Environmental Legislation.
• Improve the environmental performance of the firm's assets in support of their corporate responsibility objectives and the asset's business plan.
• Monitor usage, develop strategies and identify, investigate and implement opportunities for:
• Recycling/reuse of waste.
• Reduction of energy consumption.
• Reduction of water consumption.
• Enhancement of the biodiversity value of the asset.
• Project Manage sustainability initiatives delivering against budget.
• Report on the management of the EMS to stakeholders.
• Monitor performance against corporate responsibility objectives and targets and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Be the point of contact for sustainability issues.
• Report on the performance of Cleaning & Environmental Services Provider
• Work with the Sustainability Advisor on proposals for sustainability projects and initiatives
• IEMA / ISO14001
