This lovely Somerset school is looking to appoint a passionate Year 3 class teacher for at least 2 terms from September 2017 for a maternity cover. The school is located in Burnham-on-Sea.
To be considered for this role you must have experience of working within Year 3 and be confident with the KS2 curriculum. You must have good classroom control and good behaviour strategies. You will be provided with a teaching assistant but you must be able to work independently.
Some of your responsibilities within this role include:
Planning, marking, levelling, assessing and differentiating lessons on a daily basis
Attending staff meetings and parent's evenings
Following the KS2 curriculum and delivering innovative and creative lessons
Collecting data and showing progress of your pupils
Confident with Literacy and Numeracy in KS2
I have been liaising with the school's business manager who deals with all long term recruitment. She is extremely friendly and fun and the head is known to be sociable and approachable. The school is modern so there are a lot of new resources and facilities on offer as well as on-site parking. The school is easily accessible from the M5 motorway.
