An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified Process Engineer to join a company that specialises in the manufacturing of various automotive components. This opportunity requires the Process Engineer to carry out specific NPI duties and you will be responsible for a variety of tasks.
Outlined below are just some of the responsibilities required by the Process Engineer :
- Identify and fix requirements for tooling
- Prepare and outline tooling objectives and eliminate current tooling issues
- Identify and fix process requirements
- Customer liaison and work with tooling contractors to agree and set deadlines
- Work on NPI documentation to maintenance, equipment schematics, electrical/mechanical drawings and servicing requirements
- Review and monitor investments/spending with contractors
- Set tooling introduction plan
- Record KPI's and log and archive NPI parts
- Identify manufacturing improvement themes
- Research new material and material substances/chemical content
You may be required to carry out other duties as and when required, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The Process Engineer may have the opportunity to support other projects when identified, as well as support other members of the NPI team.
This role is based in Gloucester and is easily accessible from Cheltenham, Swindon and Bristol. The company is offering a salary of GBP30,000 to GBP38,000, depending on experience.
