Yard Operative

Day Aggregates is one of the most successful suppliers of primary and recycled materials to the construction industry in the South East. The business operates 16 sites across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London, Hampshire and Dorset.  

We currently have a vacancy for a Yard Operative at our Crawley depot. 

Responsibilities will include working within our recycling plant with an opportunity to be trained in the operation of mobile plant to load trucks, move and reposition aggregates within bays and around the depot.  

The successful candidate will be reliable and flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude. Previous experience of driving wheeled loading shovels or excavators would be beneficial.   

Working Hours: 55 hours per week, 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 12pm Saturday. Nightwork as required on a rota basis. There may be the opportunity to work overtime.

Salary: Dependent on Experience
