AV Engineer

Our client are currently seeking an AV Engineer to join the team on an initial 6 week contract. The successful candidate will assist in anyway ensuring customer service is delivered with regard to conference and training rooms AV & IT equipment, with the correct equipment delivered and removed for safe storage afterwards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To liaise with Sales to ensure rooms have the correct equipment, in good time for conferences/meetings as per customer requests.

Preparation and equipping of both AV and conference equipment in all conference, training and syndicate rooms to the precise specifications of the client.

To carefully move equipment as requested, reporting any damages.

To co-ordinate with external companies regarding the hire, delivery and collection of AV equipment.

To regularly check and maintain AV equipment across the site ensuring all aspects are functions as they should be.

To advise Maintenance and Manager of rooms that need redecoration or repair.

The liaise with the Sales department in relation to customer show-rounds to demonstrate the capabilities of the AV systems.

To ensure standards of work are of the highest, including training conference porters in use of equipment, as required.

To comply with all the relevant current statutory legislation e.g. Health and Safety at Work, COSHH etc. Ensuring that appropriate Health & Safety precautions are in place with regard to all AV and conference equipment within the centre.

To make sure any equipment is returned and stored safely as required. To monitor and tidy AV cupboards and AV storage areas.

To be smart and presentable, laundering uniform, at all times to convey the best image to our customers.

To carry out other duties as and when required. To work as a team with other departments in the day-to-day running of the centre and to assist in upholding the high standards expected by our clients.

To observe the company?s energy use reduction policies.

Any other duties within the job holder?s capabilities.

Rate: GBP15 per hour

Location: Bedford. Due to the location it would be highly beneficial if you have your own transport.
