This position will be hosted on an open-ended contract by the University of Leeds on behalf of all LAHP organisations. Secondments will also be considered.

Whilst the post is open ended it is dependent on the LAHP continuing to receive funding beyond the initial 2 years funding that has been secured.

Are you a highly collaborative senior communications professional looking for a new challenge working within an exciting partnership of Leeds' health and care and academic organisations? Would you like a newly created role where you can have a real impact on the transformation of health and care in Leeds? Are you a confident leader capable of building excellent working relationships with colleagues?

You will be responsible for leading on the development and delivery of all marketing and communications activity for the Leeds Academic Health Partnership (LAHP) to raise awareness and engagement with our vision and enhance our reputation and success. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of this new and innovative organisation and to operate at a senior level within an organisation which is at the forefront of advancing health and social care. You will lead on developing relationships with key stakeholders and partners and be expected to regularly attend external meetings and events held within and beyond Leeds. International travel may occasionally be required.

You will have substantial experience of creating, delivering and assessing marketing and communications campaigns and proven experience in managing and contributing to delivery within complex situations involving various stakeholders. You will also have detailed knowledge of the priorities and challenges facing the health and care sectors locally and nationally. Knowledge of the operating context for the universities, health organisations and city council that make up the LAHP is also essential to this role.

With the health and care system in England facing some of the most significant challenges in its history - such as increasing demand for services and reduced budgets -- it is imperative that we innovate in order to find new ways of delivering services in the future. The LAHP aims to unite the full research and educational expertise of our universities with the needs of our health and care system, and at the same time work in collaboration with industry partners to develop great ideas that can be transformed into life-changing initiatives.
