The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to provide high quality HR advice and guidance to the EY counsellor population

Your Key Responsibilities:

Provide high quality advice and guidance on a wide range of HR queries directed to EY Help HR including performance management, stress management, absence management, grievance management, conduct issues and disability adjustments.

Skills and Attributes for Success:
  • Provide first line telephone support for the Counsellor Advice Team and second level telephone support to the EY Help Generalist HR Team during peak periods.
  • Escalate complex queries to the EY Help HR Manager, Regional HR or Employee Relations team. Build and maintain recognised levels of 'excellent' customer service
  • Maintain own continuous professional development to ensure advice given follows current employment law principles
  • Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act at all times
  • Contribute to UK TSS, CBS and wider HR projects and initiatives
  • Take responsibility for keeping abreast of HR policy and process developments
  • Give clear interpretation of HR policy to employees and line management on a wide-range of subjects
  • Make decisions and apply commercial judgement in dealing with employee relations issues eg poor performance, absence management etc.
  • Case management of issues relating to under performance, conduct, absence and stress
  • Appropriately guide employees and line management through the HR Intranet and coach them through the process to allow them to answer their query
  • Record details of incoming calls in a timely and accurate manner and tracking through to closure/client resolution
  • Accurate and Real Time tracking of case details including MI, key dates and milestones
  • Produce service line MI, and EY Help HR MI
  • Manage Regional HR service line relationships and monthly conference calls
  • Review employee relations policy correspondence on behalf of the EY counsellor where required.
  • Maintain up to date process, contact and policy documentation within EY Help HR systems and files
  • Ensure own comprehensive knowledge of the HR Intranet and share best practice with colleagues
  • Contribute to UK TSS and wider HR team by identifying trends or repeated queries or issues arising from HR policy or procedure
To Qualify for the Role you must have:
  • Minimum two years' HR generalist professional experience (ideally gained in large corporate organisation) with good knowledge of employment law and HR processes. Experience of case management is essential
  • Previous experience within a service delivery environment including management of customer relationships in a front line role particularly providing advice by telephone
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for customer liaison and the ability to establish and manage strong client relationships
Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Knowledge of operational HR systems
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • CIPD or studying towards would be preferable
