Payroll Manager - Invoicing, Payroll, Governance, Tax
Our client, Total Back Office Solutions (TBOS) have a newly-created role for a Pay-And-Bill Manager to join their growing business based in Harpenden. They formed in 1996 and offer all outsourced Back Office needs to recruitment agencies irrelevant of size or industry. They have split their outsourced services into three key areas; Daily Process, Credit Control and Accounts Support to ensure their clients get the specialized support they need across all the key areas.
The role is a permanent position and has been newly created to manage a team of five staff, it will be a key part of the leadership team and you will be reporting directly into the Director/Owner of the business.
Job Specification/Core Responsibilities
This role is a very exciting proposition for the correct candidate as you can make the role your own and the business is looking to grow further so this role will be a key part of their strategy.
The role will encompass various areas but below are some of the key areas you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the invoicing, payroll and client processes to ensure they are compliant with internal and external governance.
- Implementing and outlining continuous improvements around processes to ensure best practice and business efficiencies.
- Managing over 60 client relationships and acting as the account manager to liaise and ensure all queries and questions are answered within the 4 hour turn-around commitment to TBOS clients.
- Responsibility for over 800 contractors and employees payroll.
- Responsibility for overseeing and confirming the payroll tax information and identifying any discrepancies.
- Strong excel and SAGE Payroll exposure would be very beneficial.
- Supervision of a team of five staff and responsibility for training and developing those staff.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have a proven background within the Pay-And-Bill arena, ideally from within a recruitment or professional services background.
Previous managerial exposure is also highly beneficial and a proven track record with identifying top talent and supporting development of staff to reach their potential to ensure the continued business growth planned.
The successful candidate will want to be part of a family orientated environment but be a high achiever and want to progress within the business and continually develop and work closely with the Director/Owner around the business strategy.
In order to succeed the successful candidate will also have excellent time management skills, prioritization skills and strong IT skills, specifically within Excel and SAGE Payroll.
