Location: Farnborough, Hampshire

Salary: up to £24K per annum, depending on experience

Position: Permanent, Full Time

The company has been a part of a larger UK group of specialist travel companies since December 2015. They operate as a totally standalone business, but also work closely with their sister companies wherever possible. Other brands within the group are Inghams, Esprit, Ski Total, Santa's Lapland and Inntravel.

They currently have an exciting role for a full time Flight Sales Consultant working within their Flights Team. The role will be working closely with the other teams and will be instrumental in the training of the sales team within the organisation on flight processes. The position has plenty of variety and is a great opportunity for someone to develop their fares and GDS knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making air reservations in the GDS.
  • Managing PNRs within the GDS including queue management and ticketing.
  • Support the Sales team with flight requirements including training and system management.
  • Liaising with customers regarding flight queries.
  • Handling various administration tasks.
  • Making charter and low cost carrier reservations.
  • Making European rail reservations in the GDS.

Skills and Experience - Essential:

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of multi-tasking through effective planning, prioritising and organising of workload.
  • Have a focus on accuracy and quality and good attention to detail.
  • 2 years Galileo experience (minimum).
  • Have analytical skills with the ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Proven excellence in administration roles.
  • Understanding of published and net fares.
  • Intermediate knowledge of excel and word.
  • Ability to treat people with respect under all circumstances, install trust and uphold the values of the business.
  • Have a sound commercial approach to all decision making.
  • Willing to challenge the status quo and consistently ask 'why?'

  • Good all round education
