A market leader in ruggedised equipment are looking for an Electromechanical Engineer based at their site in Fareham, Hampshire. They develop and produce electro-mechanical products on site for a range of industries so the right candidate will have good electrical engineering knowledge and basic mechanical engineering skills.

Must have good knowledge of connectors, cabling, wiring looms, ratings and cable harness design etc but can have any of the following backgrounds:

*Mechanical or Electromechanical design
*Electronic / hardware design
*Test / practical wireman experience

The Electromechanical Engineer will be a part of a multi-disciplined team working on continuously developing the company's product range.

Key responsibilities required for the Electromechanical Engineer job:
*Supporting the mechanical and electronic design engineers in the creation of electro/mechanical drawings and diagrams
*Generate 3D virtual models of electrical assemblies to production standard including harness routings
*Create 2D wiring and harness diagrams
*Generate 3D parts, e.G. Enclosures and panels

Key skills required for the Electromechanical Engineer job:
*Experience in the design and development of electrical cables, harnesses, wiring schematics and mechanical assemblies
*Ability to determine and define power budgets and load carrying requirements for cable assemblies etc
*Good knowledge of electrical standards and practices
