Working in partnership with Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan County Councils, our school based counselling, residential disability short breaks, family support and disability focus services, are a vital part of our work. As an Administrative Team leader, you will lead, develop and supervise a team of business support staff. You will assist managers and projects to ensure accurate processing, monitoring and recording of high level information (including Health and safety, financial and funding data, budget monitoring and financial reports.

How you’ll make a difference:

By working with managers to ensure income and expenditure is accurately accounted for, ensuring services operate efficiently and effectively

By ensuring administrative staff are supported to provide a confidential, responsive, high quality, customer focused support service

By working with the management team providing a full administrative support inc the drafting of briefing papers, reports, minute taking, data input and collation using various IT systems to undertake this

What you’ll need:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in office management or a similar role
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to work as part of a team, ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales
  • High level IT skills, covering the full Microsoft office package, especially Excel
  • Skill and confidence in using financial systems whilst adhering to Action for children processes
  • Experience of carrying out supervision and leading and developing a business support team
  • The ability to drive as you will cover projects in the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff, for which a mileage allowance will be paid
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
