Salary: £12,538 - £13,220 (pro rata of: £15,242 - £16,071) [FTE: 0.8226]
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only, 37 hours per week, 37 weeks per year

We are currently recruiting for a Chef in our fine-dining restaurant, Horizons, here at South Devon College. You will be responsible for producing all types of food for internal and external customers, economically and to high quality standards. You will contribute to menu compilation, optimising commodity costs and communicating with staff to ensure that the organisation runs smoothly.
The successful candidate will need to hold a City & Guilds 702 or NVQ Level 3 qualification, a Trade Cookery qualification and a RSH Essential Food Hygiene Certificate. We are looking for someone who has work experience in a busy and varied food preparation environment with detailed knowledge of commodities and cooking. You will need to have good food hygiene awareness, an ability to work under pressure with supervisory ability.
