Process all administration for procurement
To ensure that all internal customers are proactively updated on the status of their orders and that purchasing records are updated accordingly
Establishing stock requirements through negative, minimum and pre order stock reports to determine stock order requirements, taking into account seasonal variation and holiday periods.
Where applicable, obtaining quotes and placing orders for finished goods.
Proactively liaising between suppliers and staff to resolve purchasing supply issues, ensuring an accurate and timely provision of supplies.
Monitoring and reviewing purchasing budgets, undertaking cost/budget analysis, highlighting cost changes to New Sales Team Leader to assist with supplier choice.
Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best deal for individual products or longer term discount agreements.
Maintain discount agreement and special offer purchasing records, and report usage as required.
Identify slow moving stock and potential stock wastage due to expiry dates.
Maintain files and archive records for all activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
To provide information on expected deliveries to Customers and colleagues as required.
To ensure that all customers are proactively updated on the status of their orders and that a record of the status is recorded in the ERP system.
Run stock allocations and back order reports in order to determine the deliveries to be dispatched.
Contact Suppliers to progress customer orders, check stock availability obtain prices etc
