Senior Merchandiser

The role- Senior Merchandiser:

• Running all sales and stock reports daily
• Hosting the weekly trade meeting, summarising the key top line information, bestsellers and slow movers and any other ad hoc information that is important for the team
• Trading in-season, being responsible for markdown proposals and any weekly promotions
• Managing the manual WSSI and ensuring current buy budgets are on track and any OTB is constantly fed back to the Buyer
• Updating the Range Plan ensuring target margins are being met and category mixes are in-line with the planned phasing
• Proposing and then raising all POs with the factories once signed off by the Director. Negotiating cost prices where possible.
• Constantly updating the team with performance and advising which styles/categories need pushing
• Analysing seasonal and hindsight information. Analysing historical data, trends, product assortment, and competition to develop the strategy
• Liaising closely with the warehouse team for a smooth delivery process
• Assisting the wholesale team with stock management & working closely with the Import Merchandiser

The Person - Senior Merchandiser:

• Minimum of 4 years merchandising experience
• Understanding of visual merchandising experience is desirable also
• Outstanding commercial awareness
• Experience managing reporting programmes to all levels of the team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Work well under pressure
• Experience working to tight deadlines
• Team player but also work well on your own
• Experience with Excel and Outlook
