Our client is seeking a candidate to join their professional and friendly team as Finance Business Partner.
The ideal candidate will be a part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) however candidates who are unqualified with the relevant commercial skills will be considered.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director the successful candidate will provide financial support (planning & analysis) to the business.
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (30 minute lunch hour each day) 24 days holiday, Life Assurance (Death in Service) x2 annual salary and Nest Pension.
Salary is between GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 per annum dependant on experience.
Experience required:
* Experience within a finance/accounting function
* Ideally some experience of sales reporting, management reporting, cash management and budgeting and forecasting
* Experience of ERPs and other finance systems preferable
* A candidate with advanced Microsoft Excel experience is essential as the department are heavily reliant on this package alongside excellent Microsoft Word and ideally, PowerPoint skills
Role accountabilities:
Monthly Management Accounts
* Assist in the preparation of the Group consolidated management accounts
* Analyse financial performance
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations
* Complete reporting packs lead periodic review meetings with budget holders
* Preparation of European VAT returns
Cashflow
* Preparation of weekly cashflow reporting (Short & Medium Term)
* Review payment plans and variances to forecast
* Assist in the development of cash flow modelling
Monthly financial reporting to managers, board, investors and lenders
* Assist in the continuing development of the monthly reporting framework
* Assist in the preparation of the monthly management reporting for distribution to managers, board, investors and lenders
* Monitor financial performance against budget, rolling forecast and quarterly forecast and investigate variances
KPI Reporting
* Assist in the continuing development of financial and non-financial KPI reporting
* To monitor, report, investigate and follow up these KPIs
* Assist in the development of reporting to enable information to be reviewed in line with current business plan
Forecasting future financial performance of the business
* Assist in the preparation of annual revenue, margin & overhead budgets
* Assist in the preparation of the 5-year business plan
* Assist in the preparation and development of rolling business forecasts and highlight risks & opportunities
Business Partnering
* To provide financial support and challenge to the wider business including Director's and Heads of departments
* Ad-hoc analysis & information requests
Financial Appraisal's & Analysis
* New products & pricing
* Productivity or development initiatives
* Capital expenditure requests
