Responsibilities of the Customer Service Advisor:

  • To answer and process calls in a professional, consistent, and responsive manner
  • To develop positive relationships, to provide a positive call experience for each customer
  • To conduct transactions accurately
  • Makes customers feel like individuals, pro-actively keeping them updated on situations that affect them
  • To achieve minimum standards in quality monitoring assessments
  • To assist is achieving the Contact Centre target of number of calls answered within the set timescale

Skills required of the Customer Service Advisor:

  • Listens carefully to customers on all occasions
  • Effectively diffuses conflict situations, placating difficult customers
  • Anticipates problems and issues before they become visible to the customer
  • Works well with other team members
  • Shows consideration for others in the team
  • Understands team goals and own goals in relation to the team
  • Speaks confidently and unhesitatingly
  • Need to be able to explain information using clear simple language
  • Computer literacy & keyboard skills
