Our client is very well respected within their field and due to continued growth they have a vacancy for an Operations Manager to manage the Functional Health Team. The ideal candidate will have a background from within the health or insurance industry but this is not essential. However the ability to lead and manage a team is essential.

Purpose of the Role

To ensure operational delivery of the services provided by our team of Functional Health Consultants (FHC) whilst maintaining high level of service for the company client base.

To liaise with Functional Health Director (FHD) and Operational Director (OD) to organise and supervise all operational aspects of the Functional Health Team in line with wider business and client strategy.

*Ensure the team adhere to principles are practices of the business and objectives.
*Client service standards are met
*Ensure Functional Health team is effective, measured and delivering the desired results
*To provide support to day-to-day servicing, and administration for client's services in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner, in accordance with the procedures & performance SLAs.

Principle Objectives and Responsibilities including the following, other objectives may be assigned:

*To deliver all operational outcomes
*To agree, communicate, implement and achieve critical success factors defined within the Operations with assistance from the OD and FHD.
*To define and communicate the key objectives to ensure all FHC deliver against them, and within agreed timescales, budgets
*To assist in the performance of the department by regular communication with colleagues and managers to establish, raise concerns and provide solutions, motivating and providing encouragement.
*To handle customer complaints strictly within the company's complaints procedure where required.
*Review staff performance to support the FHD and other leaders
*To develop business 'ideas' and strategies assisting the FHD and OD to finding new ways of improving delivery in current services
*To hold regular meetings for the all FHC's with clear agenda and ensuring an integrated approach and progress on delivery.
*To support and communicate to OD of the overall operational performance, highlight area key areas of risk or concern.
*To support and identifies training needs and communicating these to the Learning and Development Manager (L&D) - ensuring that all pre/post course briefings and subsequent action plans in respect of all new business personnel are adhered to

Key Skills required:

*Ability to proactively lead/ Manage a team and monitor performance
*Prioritise and organise own and team workloads to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
*Develop and sustain relationships with both internal and external customers.
*Confident and effective telephone skills.
*Good interpersonal and communication skills.
*Use judgement and experience of operational matters to know when to seek help or advice from OD or other Senior colleagues.
*Analysing, evaluating and problem solving.
*High ability to deliver
