Role: Systems Analyst (SITS Student Systems)
Rate: GBP400 per day
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Midlands
Goal
Manage critical Applications (mainly SITS) throughout their operational lifecycle
Identify long term trends and patterns of use to inform service development and replacement planning
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for Applications maintenance
Continuously improve our 1st line fix rate by developing and planning handover of daytoday tasks to the Service Desk.
DaytoDay Tasks
Proactively manage all Applications, monitoring their performance and addressing maintenance issues
a. Improve Availability
b. Manage Capacity
c. Liaise with suppliers to report, analyse and resolve defects
d. Undertake preventative maintenance and patching
e. Use monitoring tools to identify, analyse and remediate problems
f. Manage security and monitor for security incidents
g. Ensure backup, and where necessary restoration
Measure and report against key management information. Assess the performance of the services based on our Applications platforms on a frequent basis against IT Services service levels. Identify appropriate actions to remediate where targets are missed.
Respond to userreported incidents with Applications in a timely and courteous fashion.
Document processes and tasks to a high standard, and ensure that they can be followed by other team members.
