Warehouse Team Leader
Role Profile
As a key part of the site management team, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to work as part of a team responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the warehouse operation:
Main duties:
- The role reports directly to the Warehouse Shift Managers
- Motivate and manage the team to achieve, and where possible exceed, all performance objectives
- Effective management of resources to achieve KPI's (cost, quality, service and absence)
- Ensure a pro-active approach to health & Safety via risk assessment and by ensuring that warehouse colleagues comply with all policies and requirements
- Conduct regular individual reviews and where necessary agree a performance improvement plan
- Management of a Time & Attendance System
- Process Control of orders, loading/tipping of vehicles and the returns operation
- To work any 5 from 7 days with a rotating early/late shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays with a requirement to work additional hours/shifts as necessary
Person Profile
- Attention to detail is key for this role as is the ability to analyse data and make recommendations
- Customer focused and able to build effective relationships with the team, client and other third parties. Previous experience with customer relations is desirable but not essential
- Experience of Health & Safety regulations in a warehouse environment is essential
- Experience in a warehouse environment, including detailed understanding of warehouse management systems
- Demonstrate drive, energy and a commitment to the continuous improvement of overall contract performance
- Be inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance
- Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
- Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem solving skills
- Enthusiastic, committed and able to respond positively to changing demands
- Experience of using MS Office applications such as Word, Excel to an intermediate standard is a must
- Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels
