WYCA Implementation Team

West Yorkshire Combined Authority is the driving force behind local partners' collective efforts to make the Leeds City Region known globally as a place where everyone can combine economic success with an outstanding quality of life. Our main goal is 'inclusive growth' - ensuring all our people and places are able to contribute to, and benefit from, economic prosperity.

With its energetic feel, the Leeds City Region is one of the most attractive areas to live, work and play in the UK. If you enjoy working and living in a place full of pace, innovation, challenge, opportunity, change and dynamism then these could be the roles for you.

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to strengthen its Implementation team, which oversees a GBP1bn+ portfolio of capital programmes and projects. These schemes are either delivered directly by WYCA or through one of our partner organisations (public and private sector).

This is an exciting time for capital investment into transport infrastructure across West Yorkshire and York. The Transport Projects team is responsible for the direct delivery of capital schemes funded from a range of sources including the GBP1bn+ West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund (WY+TF), GBP173.5m package of transport improvements for Leeds, and the Local Transport Plan. The team has in the past overseen the delivery of new rail stations at Kirkstall Forge, Apperley Bridge and Low Moor as well as the award winning Castleford bus station.

This role works within the Transport Projects team supporting delivery of transport infrastructure including rail infrastructure, new and refurbished bus stations, transport hubs, electric vehicle charging points and park and ride to name but a few. You will support the project team in the planning and delivery of complex projects to time, quality and budget. An understanding of delivering projects within a PRINCE2 environment is desirable as is knowledge of the implementation of a range of forms of contract and the application of the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015.

With its vibrant, energetic feel, the Leeds City Region is one of the most attractive areas to live, work and play in the UK. If you enjoy working and living in a place full of pace, innovation, challenge, opportunity, change and dynamism then these could be the roles for you.
