Project Management Coordinator

Location: Mansfield or Kettering

Kier Strategic Highways is looking to recruit a Project Manager Coordinator to join the Area 7 Design Services Contract. This is a full time, office based position.

Purpose:

A multi-faceted role to assist with the development and maintenance of project and portfolio programmes including collating data associated with contract performance and reporting

Key Responsibilities:

  • The creation and maintenance of an area 7 schemes programme
  • Review programmes against the forecast spend profiles to ensure alignment
  • Assist the programme delivery manager in the proactive monitoring and maintenance of all programmes on a regular basis to ensure that the programmes remain achievable, and identify areas where corrective action may be required
  • Communicate programme changes and risks to the programme delivery manager
  • Assist the programme delivery manager in ensuring that all programmes contain the correct information, and are of sufficient detail to allow all members of the project team to successfully plan and monitor the works to achieve the project goals
  • All programmes will be logically linked to allow for the analysis of the critical path to ensure the overall integrity of the programme
  • All programmes will adhere to the Kier processes and procedures to ensure that a consistent quality approach is maintained by all member of the project team
  • Carryout schemes database updates in line with programme, cost, risk and contract performance measures
  • Manage information associated with task quotations, revisions to task quotations, early warning notifications, task orders and forecasting
  • Maintain effective relationships with the Design Team Leaders and the client and other Divisional Teams to ensure timely and effective flow of reporting and information both into and out of the Team

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Appropriate Qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Appropriate experience of working within a Civil Engineering/Highway Maintenance environment.
  • Computer literate with competent ability and knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience in relevant programming packages.
  • Able to communicate well, both orally and in writing
