Qualified Teaching Assistant- Northallerton

Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a primary school in the Northallerton area. The Head Teacher has approached PT to assist in the school's search for a General Teaching Assistant (GTA) to commence a part time (0.6) position starting in September on a long term basis. The successful applicant will be offering support to the Class Teacher and delivering interventions to small groups of children and directed by the Class Teacher. You will need to show a commitment to supporting teaching and learning in schools and have experience of supporting children within KS2. Experience of working with children identified as having special education needs would be advantageous.

Based in the Northallerton area, this vibrant primary school is well regarded within the local community and staff are very well reputed. You will have access to a wealth of resources and support within the KS2 team. You will need to show a commitment to supporting learning for all and fully embrace the school ethos and behaviour policy. The Head Teacher is seeking a TA with a Level 3 CACHE/NCFE qualification or equivalent.

The successful applicant will have:

-CACHE Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
-Previous experience of supporting teaching and learning in an education setting in the UK
-Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS2
-Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
-The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
-A commitment to improving attainment for all students
-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
