The UK's leading and best-known food on the go retailer are currently looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias) to carry out preventative, routine and emergency maintenance work on machinery at their production facility in Longbenton, on the outskirts of Newcastle.

The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you would be responsible for ensuring all plant breakdowns are repaired as quickly and as effectively as possible. You would also be pro-active in developing ideas that would prevent the breakdowns occurring and would carry out a regular maintenance schedule, electrical repairs and modifications, ensuring machine downtime is minimised whilst repairs are carried out.

You will be working 39 hours per week over a rotating shift pattern; 9am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role will be time-served, having worked an apprenticeship at the start of their career, and will be ONC qualified in a relevant electrical or engineering discipline, with experience of working in an FMCG environment. You will need experience of PLC's and Control drives and will have experience of working to planned maintenance schedules. Whilst multi-skilled experience would be highly desirable, electrical bias is essential.
