Senior Business Development Officer

IOD PARC is seeking to recruit a Senior Business Development Officer, to work as part of an established and professional business development team based in our Edinburgh office. You will play a pivotal role in this through effective co-ordination of a set of existing Business Development systems and processes; and as part of a close and well-established team that support the achievement of annual turnover targets of the company. Bringing creativity and dynamism, and operating at this tactical level within the team, the overall duties and responsibilities of the Senior Business Development Officer (SBDO) are to co-ordinate aspects of business development (BD) activity, including scoping/ pipeline management; bid coordination and monitoring; BD systems development; and build relationships with clients and partners. You will be capable of technical bid writing, including an ability to quality check the technical approach and methodologies written by Staff Consultants against the specific requirements of the client request. In doing so, you will support the IOD PARC brand expansion globally and in the UK. You will have demonstrable experience working in business development within an international organisation, including experience of coordinating the preparation and submission of business tenders; skills in developing budgets and commercial proposals; clear communication skills, both written and verbal; and excellent networking and negotiation skills.
