An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Crewe Manufacturing Facility for a Technical Sales Advisor to join our team. You will be a key member of the sales team working alongside other sales engineers and sales support staff. The role is to provide technical, commercial and administrative support to our external sales team.

As a Technical Sales Advisor, you will be responsible for all aspects of the sales support pipeline. This will include advising customers on the technical specification of vacuum pumps, quotation of pumps, managing your sales funnels, daily close contact on a professional sales level with our external sales team, contributing to the sales forecast and generally ensuring the smooth running of the sales process in general.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling technical enquiries and advising customers on product selection.
  • Provide a proactive approach to supporting our customers including regular follow-up and general liaison.
  • Compiling and selecting technical information.
  • Compiling quotations.
  • Managing quotations and your own workflow in general.
  • Contribute to sales forecasts.
  • Convert your enquiries into orders.
  • Liaise with our engineering department as necessary to specify equipment specifications, company standards and product developments.
  • Deliver daily/weekly targets in line with sales KPIs and deliver sales development targets in line with longer term strategies set.
  • Over time develop a working knowledge of the company products and services in order to provide detailed guidance to our customers.
  • Proactively deal with comments and complaints from customers as they arise. Assisting with the investigation and recording of the issue and proactively providing a solution. Reporting problems to the management team.
  • Ensure that all personnel activities are in-line with company's standard operating procedures, QA and H&S policies and to constantly review/challenge the process with a view to continual improvement.

Desirable Requirements
  • Engineering qualification.
  • Experience in the industrial vacuum pump market or another technical discipline.
