Project Controller
Bristol
A Project Controller is required for my client based in Bristol to provide Project Controls expertise (including planning, scheduling and finance/status reporting) in support of project delivery across the entire business. The successful Project Controller will get an opportunity to not only work for a leading Defence company but also a wealth of benefits:
Salary between GBP30,000 - GBP35,000

Knowledge, Skills And Experience of the Project Controller:
Essential
* Good appreciation of methods and tools for planning, scheduling and controlling engineering projects
* Ability to produce and maintain detailed and accurate level 4 project schedules including management of dependencies between projects
* 3 years experience in designing schedules to allow effective roll-up to higher levels with concise reporting of key milestones and sound critical path analysis
* 2 years experience of project finance reporting and workpackage management
* Strong IT skills covering all Microsoft Office tools, with advanced ability with MS Excel to analyse cost reports (labour and materials)
* Organised and structured approach with the ability to manage own time effectively while operating across multiple projects and for multiple project managers
* Minimum of APM Project Fundamentals qualification (PFQ) or equivalent
Desirable skills of the Project Controller
* Recent experience in creating and maintaining complex schedules of over 100 activities in Microsoft project
* Good working knowledge of MS Project Server, including use of enterprise custom fields and data analysis
* Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint for document and data management, ideally with basic administration skills
* Familiarity with management of systems engineering and software development life-cycles/projects, ideally within Defence sector
* Sound understanding of project change management processes and techiques
* Knowledge and application of Risk management processes and techniques
* Knowledge and application of earned value and other monitoring techniques * Knowledge and application of project Quality management techniques * APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ / APMP) or equivalent
