JOB TITLE: Logistics Projects Engineer - Manufacturing

THE COMPANY:
My client needs a capable Engineer with extensive logistics experience to ensure that their internal and external logistics processes are efficient and effective to meet the demands of a growing and complex manufacturing business.
THE ROLE:
In this role you will analyse existing process, value streams and data in order to suggest and implement improvements and efficiencies using lean thinking, new logistics management technology and your ideas and experience.
THE PERSON:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- A background in logistics, production or projects engineering engineering including extensive manufacturing industry experience.
- Engineering capability and appropriate higher level qualifications.
- A deep understanding of current manufacturing logistics techniques and processes including kan ban, JIT etc.
- Able to work fairly autonomously, managing several projects concurrently.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Able to work closely with engineers of different disciplines.
- Able to provide details project plans, costing and ROI for capital projects.
