Principal Teachers are seeking to recruit a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher specialising in German on behalf of a secondary school in the Harrogate area. The Head Teacher has approached Principal Teachers to assist in the school's search for an enthusiastic and motivated MFL Teacher on their behalf. You will be required to teach German to KS3 and KS4 students and inspire a love of learning languages. An ability to teach another language e.g. Spanish or French to KS3 level would be advantageous. The position is available to start in September on a long term, part time (0.6) basis. You will need to show a commitment to the role and flexibility to continue in the role on an on going basis.
Based in an area close to Ripon, this vibrant secondary school is well reputed within the local community. The Head Teacher is seeking a professional, who can provide the students with exceptional learning experiences in MFL and cater to a diverse range of needs. You will need to be able to plan and assess meticulously to cater to the needs of students with varying levels of ability and deliver a challenging curriculum. The successful candidate should have a passion for languages and German in particular with a desire to instil a love of learning in KS3 and KS4 students through the delivery of an exciting and stimulating curriculum. Behaviour across the school is good and you will be expected to consistently enforce the school's behaviour management policy to ensure standards are upheld.

-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
-Previous experience of teaching in the UK
-Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for MFL
-Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
-The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
-A commitment to improving attainment for all students
-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
